Summary: Commercial Services Specialist is responsible for new business development and deepening current client relationships with treasury management services and depository products. The Commercial Services Specialist will partner with Commercial and Business Relationship Managers meeting with clients to understand how they manage the movement of money. Acting as the primary contact assigned to Commercial customers. Work closely with partners to create winning customized practical treasury management solutions ensuring the most safe and reliable options are in place for clients enabling them to collect and disburse money in a safe and timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Actively work the book of business calling on new and existing clients to grow cash management revenue.
· Work with Business and Commercial RM’s to onboard all new clients with full responsibility to provide service to clients regarding all deposit and treasury management products and services.
· Maintain current knowledge of all TM products and services within the cash management industry.
· Work closely with compliance officer to ensure all TM solutions are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Develop strong working relationships with Business and Commercial RM’s, deposit operations, compliance and other departments.
· Responsible for management and retention of client relationships ensuring their integration, utilization and benefits are provided using TM solutions provided.
· Prepare with Business and Commercial Bankers by having a focused call plan and pre-proposal meetings ensuring required client information has been reviewed.
· Develop cash management proposals for new and existing clients.
· Services commercial deposit accounts, including updates to signers, account holds, CD renewals; manages overdrafts and approval process for time-sensitive decisioning; account closures; fraud protocols and interim monitoring.
· Takes initiative to facilitate Commercial customer onboarding.
Education and Experience:
· Minimum of five years’ experience in banking with direct face-to-face sales experience with clients, prospects and referral sources.
· Personal experience attending business development networking groups that produce new business.
· Established business development skills and experience earning clients trust in competitive situations.
· Treasury Management designation preferred of Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)
· Degree in business, Finance or related experience in a similar field.
· Strong understanding of Treasury Management products and services and how they integrate within day-to-day operations of a business.
· Knowledge of the back-office payment systems.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products along with other software required to perform job responsibilities.
· Strong oral and written skills.
